Hardship relief Program

At VineBrook Homes, we are more committed than ever to fulfilling our mission of providing safe, functional, and affordable homes to the communities we serve. We care deeply for our communities, residents, and neighborhoods and are committed to providing solutions to keep people in their VineBrook Home. If you are a resident who is experiencing hardship and need additional time to pay your balance, please let us know. We will work together towards a resolution.

To expedite the processing of requests from our community, we kindly ask that you only apply if you meet the eligibility criteria outlined below. Be sure to include the necessary documentation by uploading the required files. We sincerely appreciate your patience as we diligently review each request.

Hardship relief program eligibility

Residents who find themselves unable to pay their balance in full due to unforeseen hardships may qualify for VineBrook Home's new Hardship Relief Program. To be eligible, residents must meet the criteria provided below and be prepared to furnish supporting documentation:

  • You must be a current lease holder.
  • You should have less than two eviction filings since moving into your current home.
  • The amount of past-due rent should not exceed one month.
  • You must not be enrolled in a current hardship program with VineBrook Homes.
  • You must provide evidence of monthly income totaling at least three times the monthly rent.
  • Qualifying residents must submit the proper documentation, including evidence of income.
  • Residents can only be eligible for the program once every 12 months.

If your application is approved, all current lease holders will be required to sign an addendum to their existing lease, outlining the specific terms of the hardship program.
